New Student Enrollment: New Student Enrollment is now available online. Visitwww.kleinisd.net and locate the Student Registration link on the left-hand side of screen to begin the online enrollment process.
If you already have students within Klein ISD, please log into your Skyward account to begin the New Student Enrollment.
The following documents are required upon your enrollment: 1. Child's Original Birth Certificate 2. Immunization Records 3. Proof of Residence: District policy will only accept the following to verify your attendance zone: a lease agreement signed by the lessee or lessor with the student's name listed as an occupant, most recent gas, water, or electric bill containing your name and address. Telephone bills will not be accepted. 4. Student's Social Security Card: preferred but not required. 5. School Records: withdrawal papers and final report card from former school. 6. Photo I.D.
Custody Issues: Please assist us in the handling of custody related issues. It is the responsibility of the parents to provide the principal a certified copy of the court order affecting another person's right to their children.
Student Withdrawal: Please contact the registrar in advance, if you plan on withdrawing your child.
Bell Schedule: 7:50 -Students may enter the building 8:10 - Instructional Day begins 8:15 - Tardy Bell rings 9:45 - Attendance Bell rings 3:35 - Dismissal Bell rings
Morning Pre-K: 8:10 - 11:05
Arrivals: Students are not permitted in the building prior to 7:50am unless they are eating breakfast, going to tutoring, or participating in a school activity such as Art Club, Choir, D.I., or Running Club. Any student reporting to school by 8:15 or later will be counted as tardy. Please walk your child into the front office to sign them in. If your child arrives after 9:45am, they will be marked absent for the day unless a doctor's note is provided upon arrival.
Attendance Message: Attendance Counts!! A student should never be absent from school unless it's absolutely necessary. Acceptable and excused absences are the following: personal sickness, death in immediate family or in-school activities. A parent or medical note should be provided within 5 days of a student's absence, stating when and why they were absent. Any note received after the 5 day period will not be accepted. A telephone call to the attendance office can be made to report an absence, but it does not replace the note that must be turned in.
Early Dismissals and Transportation Changes: Please send a note or call prior to early dismissals and making transportation changes. Contact the front office before 2:30pm. We will not be able to accommodate any early dismissals after 3:00pm. Thank you for your understanding!
